A small and cosy Thai restaurant in a central location with nearby parking. Very welcoming and friendly staff. The menu caters to all sorts of different tastes with a wide variety of meats, vegetarian and gluten free options. The tamarind duck with coconut rice and pad Thai in particular were excellent 10/10 dishes. This was my first time at this restaurant and I’ll certainly be going back, the food was amazing and everyone in my party agreed! Due to the small size of the restaurant I’d recommend booking in advance, and checking out their menu online.

We visited Thai rice for the first time yesterday evening. The staff were very friendly and welcoming, the atmosphere was lively and the food was absolutely delicious. Some incredible flavours that were perfectly balanced. We tried a bottle of wine (that every other table around us had too, see photo) I was impressed to discover that the wine was supplied by the wine merchant a couple of doors up, and were informed the beer also came from Beerfly. It was nice to know that just by eating here we were helping so many other small businesses. Following a starter and a main that were just incredible my husband asked for the sticky rice and mango dessert. Although I was very full again the flavours and temperature of the dish was just so delicious I couldn’t help but tuck in too. This restaurant is a must try if you have never been!

The food was authentic and tasty and the staff were super friendly. We had a lovely time and could not fault the food. Exactly how I remembered it in Thailand!

This has been our first time visiting this restaurant as we wanted to try more Thai food as we find it particularly tasty and healthy. We entered and straight away the decor called my attention, it was sober but classy at the same time, the right mixture, in my humble opinion. It has been a very nice experience due to the excellent service that deserves praise on its own, we received a warm welcome from the attentive waitress and soon after we were presented with the menus which are extensive and you feel expoilt for choice. We went for the seafood platter for two as a starter, as we are seafood lovers. It looked impressive, but it paled in comparison with the flavour, a must try. After it my wife went for duck and I chose lamb, both dishes were flavourful and we accompanied them with two side dishes of rice, garlic for me and coconut for my other half. The drinks menu is extensive and gives ample choice. It goes without saying that we will be back for more.

The staff at Rice Thai were so welcoming, despite the fact that ours was a late booking (9.30pm). We went on a Thursday, the night they have their banquet menu, which has plenty of choice, including several veggie options and is very good value. The food was really very good. If anything, we ordered too much! Thank you Rice Thai, we'll be back!

My first visit since their expansion, it was a fantastic meal and the lady (I don't know her name) was so friendly and informative about the food and drinks. She even gave my husband a taster of a drink. The food was absolutely delicious and to be able to get a Tom Kha was great (I just wish there was more of it).

We went for a birthday meal 5/6/2025. Food is amazing, so much choice, such wonderful flavours. Staff and service are fantastic, they make you feel so at home and special. Can't recommend enough for a fantastic night out. Also the new decor is beautiful.

I'm not actually a massive Thai food fan but I love coming here. They just seem to do plenty of dishes that I really enjoy, especially the pad Thai! Great service too.
